October 3: “Kampai with Sake!” 2026 in Itami, the Birthplace of Seishu Sake

October 1 is Sake Day.

To celebrate Sake Day on Thursday, October 1, 2026, events will be held across Japan during the nine-day “Kampai with Sake! WEEK” from Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, October 4, 2026. These events will offer participants the chance to experience the delicious appeal of sake and the joy of raising a toast.

In Itami, known as the birthplace of seishu sake, the event “Kampai with Sake! 2026 in Itami, the Birthplace of Seishu Sake” will be held.

Date and Time
Saturday, October 3, 2026
12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The event will be held in light rain, but will be canceled in the event of stormy weather.

Venue
Shirayuki Brewery Village Chojugura
3-4-15 Chuo, Itami City

Please note that the Chojugura parking lot and bicycle parking area will not be available on the day of the event. Visitors are asked to use public transportation.

Event Details
Kagami Biraki Sake Barrel Opening Ceremony and Complimentary Sake
From 12:00 p.m.
Original wooden masu cups will be given to the first 100 visitors.

Sake Quiz
Answers will be announced from 3:30 p.m.

Four-Brand Sake Tasting Set
A tasting set featuring four sake brands will be available for purchase.

Sake Stored at Aono Dam

Special sake stored at Aono Dam will be available for purchase.

Special Lecture by Mr. Shuzo Imada
From 12:30 p.m.
Capacity: First 50 participants
