October 1 is Sake Day!

To celebrate Sake Day on Thursday, October 1, 2026, events will be held across Japan during the nine-day “Kampai with Sake! WEEK” from Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, October 4, 2026.

During this period, prefectural sake brewers’ associations, sake breweries, restaurants, liquor stores, and other participants throughout Japan will host events that showcase the unique character of their regions, offering visitors the chance to experience the delicious appeal of sake and the joy of raising a toast.

In celebration of Sake Day, the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association will also hold two special campaigns.

Join in the festivities and let’s celebrate with a toast together!

■ Receipt Entry Campaign　September 1 – October 31
1,001 winners will receive local sake from across Japan!
To enter, purchase ¥2,000 or more, including tax, of sake and upload your receipt via the dedicated entry form.

■ Follow & Repost Campaign　September 1 – September 23
Follow the official “National Kampai with Sake!” X account, @kampai_sake, and repost the designated campaign post.
Twenty winners will be selected by lottery to receive premium sakeware.
